Shortly before Easter and our beloved Art\u00e0 is deserted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The virus “Covid 19” or better known as “Coronavirus” is also causing trouble here. Who would have thought 1 month ago that here on Mallorca all restaurants, hotels, bars and other shops would have to close down?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, this is the best thing to do to contain the virus and eventually drive it off the island altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also a hard blow economically. So many people on Mallorca rely on seasonal jobs. Especially the tourists who won’t be here at all around Easter time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only time you see people is when they are doing their “obligatory” walk with the dog or on their way to get groceries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope that soon all the shops, restaurants and hotels will be able to open again and that this beautiful village will be able to welcome again the curious visitors and also the long-time returning Art\u00e0 lovers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
